Super Nature Adventures is now Art Nature Place!
We are very excited to share that Super Nature Adventures has changed its name to Art Nature Place!
This change has been many months in the making, and reflects the growth and expansion of our business to include museum and cultural institution consulting alongside the our work as partners and consultants with agencies, non-profits, and schools, bringing together place-based thinking, fun illustration and map design, and a love of learning to increase access, expand engagement, and deepen learning.
Our work at Art Nature Place includes a variety of services, such as:
Partnering with government agencies and non-profits on place-based materials and workshops - including educational materials and map designs that focus on approachable, engaging, and accessible ways to build deeper connections to the world around (see our project page for examples)
Projects and partnerships with museums and public arts organizations that focus on place-based inquiry and critical thinking (see our work with Monument Lab, Confluence, and the Rice NW Museum of Rocks & Minerals for some examples)
Working with teachers and schools on place-based learning partnerships that feature map-making, co-creation, and place based inquiry (such as this recent partnership work with the Rio del Sol School in Oxnard, California)
Workshops for museums focusing on community centered engagement (as discussed in posts found this Agents of Change newsletter run by co-creator Mike Murawski)
Community & audience strategic planning consulting (as mentioned in posts found in this Agents of Change newsletter )
Workshops and longterm consulting with museums and other institutions, specifically designed to positive change work focused on engendering more human centered practices within that institution.
Online community support for nature and self care through the substack Slow Outdoors.
Art Nature Place is a name that speaks our creative approach to our work and passion for supporting arts institutions. It also speaks to our commitment to access, learning, and connection to parks and public spaces. And it recognizes the community-centered and place-based ways that we engage with almost everything we do.
