Changes for a New Year

This Spring (2020) marks the fourth year since we created our very first hand illustrated trail packet for families in the Portland. When we began, we had a simple vision. We were scholars and educators who didn’t feel satisfied with the kinds of trail-related material that we were finding for our little one.

So we set forth with a challenge: make creative material for kids that focuses on empowering them to feel connected in meaningful, joy filled ways to the outdoors.

We drew from our experiences as creatives and educators, our expertise in learning and pedagogy, and our parenting backgrounds to  develop our high impact illustration and place based, hands-on materials that have been available for families in one way or another for the past few years.

But this project and this approach always felt like it was just the beginning of something bigger.

For a while now, we’ve been feeling the tug towards other creative work that can serve our big mission of making meaningful connections for those who need it in a broader, bolder way.

Within in the past few months, we have been responding to this tug by shifting our focus towards partnerships and creative work with businesses, agencies, and organizations.

Through this process, we have recognized there is a more formal pivot that our business needs to make. And we are really excited to share it with you to share it with you in this post!

Changes to Super Nature Adventures
Starting this spring, we will be transitioning more formally from a product-based-only business to one that prioritizes creative consultation, partnerships, and other kinds of work that does the work of building meaningful connections to place and the outdoors in thoughtful, creative ways.

We will still be offering our monthly subscription service for families with kids ages 3-8 (just no longer doing the “individual packet sales” side of things).

What does this look like?
One of the most immediate changes that we are making involves the online store offerings for individual packets. Beginning in May, this kind of material will only be available through subscriptions, group purchase, or as part of partnership school fundraiser event (email us at info@supernatureadventures.com if you are interested in working with us on this kind of service).

You will start to see changes happening on our website and in social media in the weeks to come that reflects these changes. Thank you for your patience as we make this transition!

And finally, if you are interested in working with us on a project for your organization, business, or event, the best way to reach us is through email (info@supernatureadventures.com).

So many exciting things to come!
